May Newsletter … and well … news
Well, here we are in May already, straddling the summer and coming up to one the biggest book-buying and reading seasons of the year.
In Spain, we’re seeing great weather, so good in fact, I managed to get my baby, Marnina to the beach for the very first time. How is she? you might be asking. Well folks, she is biting me to death, chewing my hair, destroying the wooden furniture with her razor-sharp teeth, and being what she’s supposed to be; a Labrador puppy who’s naughty but adorable.
Back to Business. I wanted to let you all know that the sequel to The German Half-Bloods is coming along nicely. I thought I’d be around 40,000 words at this point, but I’ve reached 60,000 and am getting the book cover together as we speak.
In Book 2, The Vogels: On All Fronts, I’ll be in Poland, Britain, France, and Germany, and I’ll prepare you right now; I will not be pretty, fluffy, or sparing the graphical narrative, so buckle up.
Last week I went to an Ex-Pat’s Club in Spain, known as the U3A. I’d like to thank all those who attended my talk and book signing and for keeping the hall quiet when the microphone broke … it wasn’t me, honest. One of the best parts about my job is being able to speak face to face with my readers, and I was thrilled to see almost 200 people in attendance.
In other news, Swearing Allegiance has been a #1 best seller in the Amazon USA six times in the month of April and twice in May. Thank you, dear readers for buying the book. I hope you enjoyed it. Also, The Guardian of Secrets has been named as “One of the 100 Independent books worth reading before you die…” https://calebandlindapirtle.com/five-100-indie-books-read-die-9/
So, hope you’re all doing well. Have a great May…may the sun shine bright wherever you are. I’ll put up my new book cover as soon as I have it ready to go. And remember, my door is always open if you want to get in touch with me.
