April Newsletter. My New Baby, Marnina

Hi everyone. March was a bust for blogging, but here’s why.

20180327_101456I got delivery of a 1.4 kilo baby Labrador. I’ve called her Marnina and she is playful, naughty, a cry baby, affectionate to the clingy extreme, and absolutely adorable. Gone are the days of me getting up and straight on the computer to write; this little one takes up a lot of my time at the moment due to her love of chewing cables, wanting on the couch, off the couch, on the couch, on my lap, in her bed. I’m not sure she knows what she wants most of the time.

20180327_130935A big thank to those of you who supported me late last year when my beloved Reina died; my chocolate Lab. I thought about getting another dog and dismissed the idea because I didn’t think I would ever be able to suffer that grief again. But, it was clear last month that I wasn’t happy without a furbaby, and I went for it despite people telling me I shouldn’t do it because dogs tie their owners down and cost a lot of money. Well, I’m very happy to be tied to this little thing and will make sure she gets only the very best healthcare whenever she needs it. I love dogs and have always found them less tying than any human partner I’ve had, lol. (Joke for those of you who think I am wierd)

promo.ThegermanH-B.1In other news; The German Half-Bloods was released on March 6th and was the #2 Hot New Release in Britain. It’s being well received by readers, and I am looking forward to continuing the story of the Vogels – I am now on chapter 14 of the sequel and hope to publish before the end of this year.

DarkShadows.MedalsAnd finally, Mercy Carver, Dark Shadows, is at 99c until Sunday, so feel free to pick up a Kindle copy before it goes back to its original price.

Spring is in the air in Spain, the days are longer and warmer, and I plan to get started on the sequel to Swearing Allegiance before the end of the Summer. Sorry for the delay on that one, but I got waylaid with WW2.

Keep in touch, and thank you, friends, for buying The German Half-Bloods and giving it a great launch.

Have a great April everyone. xxxxxx

  1. Thank you for keeping us posted on your personal and prifessional life. I am so happy that you chose to clutter your personal life with all that goes with having a furbaby. Nothing is more fulfilling than being needed…and the reward is unconditional love. I cannot imagine going through life without it. Marnina is adorable! I haven’t read “The German Half-Bloods” yet. I’m saving it for my entertainment after my surgery coming up soon. You are my favorite author..Happiness and good writing to you.
