Linda Watkins, A Master of Horror Stories
Linda Watkins doesn’t need me to tout her books. She is successful, highly popular in the Independent Publishers’ community, and she has won enough awards to fill a bathtub.
Her award winning series Mateguas Island first appeared in 2014, and since then two further books have been written about this paranormal, enchanted Island. Here’s more about Linda.
From Book 1: What could be more idyllic than to live on an island off the coast of Maine? That’s what Bill Andersen thought when he moved his family to Mateguas. But Mateguas is more than just pristine beaches nestled between rocky shores. No, Mateguas is really something quite different….
“Surprising twists and turns and a powerful old box filled with magic: these are the elements of a fine horror story that slowly builds its plot with believable protagonists and engrossing color…Any who like horror stories and gothic fiction will find Mateguas Island an exceptional read.” ~ Diane Donovan, Senior eBook Reviewer, MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW
“In Watkins’s slow-building haunted house novel, the new home that’s supposed to save a disintegrating family turns out to hold horrors from the past…The human drama and supernatural dread intertwine, and Watkins keeps the reader invested in Bill and Karen’s fates.” ~ PUBLISHERS’ WEEKLY
“…a fast-paced and unpredictable story that is both spooky and entertaining. Mateguas Island is an absorbing horror tale and is highly recommended.” ~ Jack Magnus for READERS’ FAVORITE

My Review of Ghosts of Mateguas, her latest book
I love this saga!
Linda Watkins has brought book three to us with a more in depth look at the island. I love the ancient history of Indians and Shamans, the legends and curses. She weaved this story together beautifully, also bringing in the protagonists from previous books.
I am hoping that there will be another book. Mateguas Island still has a huge pull for me.

I have always love to read dark books since I was a teen. My first was ‘Dracula’ and that is classic. Later in so many years, I did my horror novel but never to go further later after. Now, I am on it to promote my novel again. Nowadays, the internet make it the more possible and better marketing and promotions are advanced than so many years ago.
I will check on Linda Watkins then!
